Diary of a Princess-Day 1 Pumpkin to Princess

Dear Diary,

I once felt much more like a pumpkin-you know, round and hollow, than a princess; rather ordinary with not much purpose in life. I was searching for something or someone to change me, and today the most amazing thing happened. I met the King of Kings and He changed everything about me! Gone is the old, round and hollow me because the King has adopted me into His family and adorned me with the most beautiful pure white gown and the most dazzling royal jewels I have ever seen! He's invited me to a celebration in honor of His son and He promised me a seat at His banquet table. I've been changed and I'm never going back-I'm no longer a plain 'ole pumpkin- I'm a Princess in the Kingdom of God!

His Princess

"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!" 2 Corinthians 5:18
Knowing Jesus as your King transforms your life from a life without purpose to a life filled with hope and meaning. The song "He Knows My Name" says, "He knows my name. He knows my every thought. He sees each tear that falls and hears me when I call". As His Princess, you are no longer just a pumpkin in a big patch of other pumpkins. He knows your name and everything about you and He loves you unconditionally. We want to hear how you met the King of Kings and how He has changed your life. We would love for you to share your personal testimony of coming to Christ.

What A Day!

We had an amazing kick-off- from pumpkins to princesses, beautiful formal gowns, royal jewels and an unbelievable feast at the castle. The best part of all was that King was present for this celebration! Our 2007-2008 Women's Ministry has officially begun. I want to thank all of our teams and team leaders for doing an excellent job. The decorations were beautiful and the food was delicious. We certainly had our share of obstacles along the way, but I am so privileged to work with some amazing people who didn't let anything stand in the way of that event happening and happening in style. Thank you to all of our amazing men and boys who helped set-up, cook and serve, and clean-up. It didn't take anyone long to sense God was present and moving in our midst. It is our hope that everyone went home feeling like a princess in the Kingdom of God and that they are completely loved and accepted by their Father. We will be posting different testimonies from women who were at the kick-off and we invite you to share how God is working in your life. Beginning this week, we will be featuring the Diary entries we talked about in our worship time. I will share one topic each week and pray that it will be an encouragement in your daily walk. I praise the Lord for such a wonderful group of women to walk this life with and share in life's joys and trials along the way. Shine Jesus!

It's Kick-off Time!

Welcome to a wonderful new year in Women's Ministry! We are so excited about all God has in store for us as we embark on our new theme, "His Princess". God has already been at work in the lives of our team members and leaders as plans have taken shape through the summer. God is truly doing something amazing at Calvary Baptist Church and you don't want to miss out! The kick-off is this Saturday, September 8th and it promises to be a royal gala like you've never seen. Our prayer for the women of this church and community is that they would see themselves as a princess in the Kingdom of heaven; with a father who is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords; and they would choose to honor Him with their lives. Remember ladies, you're a daughter of the King! Come feast at His banquet table!
